How it works
Create your account
Name, email and mobile, and read the agreement. Ticking that you accept it is the agreement — there's no paperwork to sign and nothing to print.
We talk about your cards
We'll message you on WhatsApp. Send photos or bring them in, and we'll tell you honestly what's worth consigning and what isn't — some cards sell better elsewhere, and we'll say so rather than sit on them.
We agree prices and your share
A listing price for each card, and your share — between 65–75% of what it sells for, depending on the batch. Agreed before we take anything in, and fixed for the whole time we hold them.
We photograph, list and sell
You hand the cards over and that's the last job you have. We shoot them, write them up and list them in the shop and at the shows we run a table at. There's nothing for you to upload.
You watch it happen, and get paid
Your account shows every card — in the vault, on sale, or sold — with what it listed at, what it made and what you get. Money lands on the 15th of each month for everything that sold the month before.
The terms, in short
Your share
65–75% of what the card sells for. Agreed before we take it in and fixed for the whole term. It's worked out per batch — what the cards are worth, how quickly they move, and how much work they need.
What's deducted
Nothing. No listing fee, no storage fee, no charge if a card doesn't sell. Card and PayNow fees come out of our share, not yours — your percentage is worked out before those are taken.
The card stays yours
You own it until a buyer does. We hold it, we don't buy it — it isn't our stock and it isn't counted as ours. Ownership passes from you straight to the buyer.
How long we keep it
90 days. We'll get in touch a week before that's up and you choose: take them back, drop the price, or leave them for another 90. Either of us can also stop with 14 days' notice.
When you get paid
On the 15th of each month, covering everything that sold the month before, with a statement. A card sold on 3 March is paid on 15 April.
What we take on
Pokémon and sports — singles, sealed product and graded slabs, English or Japanese. If a card is better sold somewhere else, we'll tell you rather than sit on it for 90 days.
You can see everything
Your account lists every card you've given us and where it is — waiting in the vault, on sale, or sold — with what it made and what you're owed. No need to message us to ask.
We used to buy cards outright. We don't any more — consignment gets you a bigger share of what your cards are actually worth, because you're not selling them to us at a margin first.
Ready to start?
Create your account and accept the agreement — it takes a minute, and it's the only step that's yours. We'll message you on WhatsApp about your cards from there.
Applying doesn't commit you to anything. We look at what you have and agree the prices together before a single card changes hands. Already applied? Check your account.
Frequently asked
What Pokémon cards does afterkard take on consignment?
Vintage WOTC cards (Base Set, Jungle, Fossil), graded slabs (PSA, BGS, CGC), sealed booster boxes and Elite Trainer Boxes, Full Arts, Alt Arts and Secret Rares, Japanese promos and special sets. Raw or graded, English or Japanese. If a card would sell better somewhere else, we say so rather than sit on it.
How does consignment with afterkard work?
Send photos on WhatsApp. We agree a listing price for each card and your share — between 65% and 75% of what it sells for — and put it in writing before taking anything in. You keep ownership until the card sells, and we pay out on the 15th of each month for everything that sold the month before.
Does afterkard buy cards outright?
No. We used to, but we now sell cards on consignment instead. It gets you more of what your cards are worth, because you are not selling them to us at a margin first — the trade-off is that a card sells when a buyer turns up, rather than the day you hand it over.
Where is afterkard based?
afterkard is based in Singapore and takes cards on consignment from across the country. We arrange safe meetups or postage for larger collections.
Do you take graded slabs?
Yes — PSA, BGS and CGC slabs of any grade and any era. Send photos of the label and the card on WhatsApp and we will tell you what we think it lists at.
